Finally something that's almost completed with this crazy costume I'm attempting! That's supposed to be Twili Midna's jewel on her forehead. It's a wee bit crooked so while I'm not going to sweat it for now, I might redo it if I have time. Anyway, the photo angle looks odd because I actually curved the jewel to fit nicely against my forehead so it's partly elevated.

Made with Fimo clay, painted with metallic acrylic paint, and weathered with watered down black acrylic.

More like my second attempt. (the one in my gallery broke and I re did it all over again) But I just used gray fimo mixed with blue and black, and put varnish on it.... Your way is cool too and makes it look more like a real jewel.

No, no new pics.... should be done very quickly.... well why not right now ? lol

But yeah, my new one is way better, I think. And I did the same sculpting patterns on it as you did, like on the pictures of Midna.

Curious

what kind of crystal did you get? I got the cheapo kind that comes in a bag with lots of other colors ... the kind with the flat metal back. The effect worked though.

Yup, I was looking for those, since I knew them. Excellent choice !

But mine had to be something else since I couldn't find one. In fact, it's the same thing, but it is a bead, so flat metal back.
